News From The Consultants Forum

More than 350 professional economic developers have attended at least one of the previous four Consultant Forums (Chicago, San Antonio, San Diego, Savannah) or will attend the upcoming Forum, June 1–3, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas. All five Forums have sold out. But we remain surprised at how many economic developers are unaware of the Forum’s outstanding programs and upcoming dates.

For those who want to know more, here is what each Forum offers:

The Consultants Forum (held twice a year) is a limited seat (100), two-day boutique event held in the country’s most interesting cities and at their finest hotels. The Forum brings in the leading names from among the best site location consultancies to discuss the most pressing issues on best practices in site selection in a no-nonsense, highly organized business formatted program.

Some facts about the Forum:

• 73% of Forum attendees will have attended at least three of our five Forums through June 2008.

• The list of site selection consultants who have presented at prior Forums is a virtual “Who’s Who” in site selection.

• The ratio of attendees to consultants averages a low 9 to 1.

• Attendee program satisfaction levels are consistently “very good” or “excellent” in post-Forum surveys.

• The “Roundtable Discussions” of the Forum programs have the highest rating among attendees in post-Forum surveys.

• Many attendees say they get more out of attending a Forum for two days than from CoreNet, IAMC, The Roundtable, or LiveXchange.

• Speaker comments are overwhelmingly positive.

• The tight "no fluff” program, first-class venues, mandatory business attire, and multiple networking functions all rate high with attendees.

For those economic developers serious about their profession, the Consultants Forum is worth attending. The next Consultants Forum (6th) will take place in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the highly rated 5-star Gainey Ranch Resort, December 7–10, with an exciting expanded program. To register click here.
