It's been almost five years since CenterBeam, Inc. of San Jose, California, decided to strengthen its services by opening its North American Solution Center in Saint John, New Brunswick - and it has proven to be a wise decision for all involved.

Since then, the solution center has grown to 136 employees who provide enterprise-level infrastructure and support services to mid-size organizations. These services include desktop and server management, hosted messaging, network and system administration, and end-user support to clients in fields such as professional services, high-tech, healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, and nonprofit organizations. In all, CenterBeam is supporting organizations with users across 45 countries and six continents.

Anthony Hardt, executive vice president and chief customer officer of the North American Solution Center, says that there are many reasons why CenterBeam chose New Brunswick, the first being the unparalleled infrastructure. "Obviously there was a tremendous investment in the last decade to build up a very high level integrated telecom infrastructure. It is very robust and second to none," he says. "It is substantially more robust than a lot of the telecom infrastructures we deal with in the United States."

Another reason New Brunswick is a great choice for businesses is the proficient work force that is available. Hardt describes the people in New Brunswick as being a very stable talent pool, as well as being a strong cultural fit. These are elements that are key contributors to CenterBeam's industry-leading customer satisfaction ratings of 99.6 percent.
