Spinrite Services LLC will locate a facility in Beaufort County, North Carolina, according to an announcement by Gov. Bev Perdue. The company plans to create 90 jobs and invest $9.1 million over the next three years in Washington. The total payroll for the new positions is expected to exceed $2 million.

Spinrite is a leading manufacturer and marketer of craft yarns sold throughout North America. Its diverse hand-knitting product line includes brands such as Bernat, Patons, Lily Sugar n' Cream, Peaches and Crème, and Phentex.

President Ryan Newell said Beaufort Count's "talented workforce" will provide an excellent foundation for the company's further expansion and business growth.

The project was made possible in part by an $180,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. According to Newell, the Fund's incentives were "a key component" in Spinrite's decision to choose Washington over other alternatives.
