Oxco, Inc., a light manufacturer and supplier of non-woven materials, is launching new operations at Lakemont Business Park in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The facility will accommodate the company’s continued growth.

The project is expected to bring approximately $13 million in new capital investment and create more than 130 new jobs in York County. Oxco will be constructing a new 150,000-square-foot facility, expandable up to 200,000 square feet.

As an incentive, the Coordinating Council has approved job development credits, as well as a $200,000 Set Aside grant to York County to assist with the cost of real property improvements related to the project.

“Given our company’s success and growth in recent years, and therefore our need for a larger facility, we’re delighted to be planning for a move to York County. The attractive incentives offered by the county and state, and the convenient location with access to Interstate 77 for our employees, distributors and customers alike, made the move an easy decision,” Oxco President C.T. Chu said.

“Oxco’s decision to invest in York County and create 130 new jobs serves as an opportunity for South Carolinians to show the world how special of a place our state is, and we are confident they will do just that. We know that this is just the beginning of an important and lasting relationship between Oxco and our state, and we look forward to what the future holds for this great partnership,” Governor Henry McMaster said.

“South Carolina is known for its remarkable manufacturing ability. Today’s announcement by Oxco is further proof that this reputation is well-earned, as yet another tremendous company has chosen to call our state home,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.
