Polymarin Composites, a developer of rotor blades for the wind power industry, and Wind Water Technology, a supplier of parts for wind rotor blades, will jointly invest $20 million to locate a manufacturing facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. Company officials for Netherlands-based Polymarin say the two companies combined will create approximately 830 new jobs over the next four years with an average salary of $15 per hour plus benefits. "Our new Little Rock facility will enable us to bring our expertise, products and services to North America," says Gerry van der Sluijs, CEO of Emergya Wind Technologies, the Netherlands-based parent company of Wind Water Technology. "We could not be happier with the location and are excited about the resources and personnel that Arkansas has to offer." AHN News Service reports that the companies chose Little Rock over 25 other U.S. locations because of its central location and proximity to the Mississippi River. Information about incentives was not released.
