Area Development
Nearly 300 new jobs are in store for Kentucky, the result of several initiatives from manufacturers. Sub-Zero Wolf, Inc., a maker of luxury home appliances, will locate a manufacturing facility in Richmond, with a $35 million investment. The 200,000-square-foot facility will create an estimated 100 new jobs. In Union County, Homecare Products, Inc. will bring 135 new jobs and an investment of $3 million through a new wheelchair ramp manufacturing plant to be operated by the company's EZ Access subsidiary. The facility will be located in a 100,000-square-foot spec building that the company will renovate to its needs. Halton Co., a manufacturer of commercial ventilation systems, will invest $2.2 million to expand its plant in Scottsville, adding approximately 30,000 square feet to its existing facility and creating up to 60 new jobs.
