Nearly 300 new jobs are in store for Kentucky, the result of several
initiatives from manufacturers. Sub-Zero Wolf, Inc., a maker of luxury
home appliances, will locate a manufacturing facility in Richmond, with
a $35 million investment. The 200,000-square-foot facility will create
an estimated 100 new jobs. In Union County, Homecare Products, Inc.
will bring 135 new jobs and an investment of $3 million through a new
wheelchair ramp manufacturing plant to be operated by the company's EZ
Access subsidiary. The facility will be located in a
100,000-square-foot spec building that the company will renovate to its
needs. Halton Co., a manufacturer of commercial ventilation systems,
will invest $2.2 million to expand its plant in Scottsville, adding
approximately 30,000 square feet to its existing facility and creating
up to 60 new jobs.
