Automated Technology Company, a startup who works in building automation, opened its new location in Joplin, Missouri. The company plans to create 130 new jobs.

ATC announced they plan to run their Boston and New York locations from Missouri. The company provides “smart building” solutions that allow commercial, residential and light industrial building owners and operators the flexibility and interoperability of the normally separated building technologies in order to effectively and consistently deliver comfort, efficiency, safety in the building environment.

“We’re here to change the “status quo” paradigm. ATC integrates proven, industry-standardized technology from world-class players such as ABB and Belimo, where we are an authorized value provider. In doing so, we fully complement the building eco-system into a complete building solution. There are thousands of these smart building solutions worldwide, one example is the Microsoft HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark,” said Frank Thompson, Founder & Chief Visionary Officer.

“More quality jobs are coming to Missouri,” said Governor Eric Greitens. “Missouri is an innovative state, and we’re proud to be the home of great start-ups like ATC that are creating jobs for our families.”

“We are pleased to celebrate the continued growth of Automated Technology Company. ATC began in our Newman Innovation Center and continued to increase its space there before moving to this larger facility to accommodate its continued growth,” said Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce President Rob O’Brian. “We appreciate the Department of Economic Development’s support of ATC as well. ATC has unique technology through its partnership with ABB, which will allow it to grow its market both regionally and nationally. ATC is already a start-up success in our community.”
