Jetline, a manufacturer of promotional products, will invest $3.5 million to relocate its operations to Gaffney, South Carolina, according to state commerce officials. The company, currently based in Mount Vernon, New York, plans to create 247 new jobs over the next five years. "We are pleased to locate our new operations in Gaffney, as we grow to meet increasing demand from our customers," says Eric Levin, Jetline's president. "In searching for a location for our facility, Cherokee County provided an excellent fit for our company, with its positive business environment, available labor force, and exceptional market access." Jetline will move into an existing facility and plans to begin production there this month. In Fort Mill, Legrand, a manufacturer and distributor of electrical security systems, will consolidate operations at a new distribution center. The company and its contract labor partner Insource plan to hire 185 new employees. "Insource is excited to partner with Legrand at the Fort Mill Distribution Center," says Kevin Clark, an Insource vice president. "Legrand has a clear vision for a best-in-class distribution facility that is highly efficient and flexible, and Insource's performance-based labor model will help bring that vision to life." The Carlisle (Pennsylvania) Sentinel reports that the company will consolidate operations from Middlesex Township and Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and Concord, North Carolina, and begin operations at the Fort Mill facility early next year.
