CareCentrix has announced it create 152 jobs when it expands its Tampa, Florida, operations by opening a second facility at the Westlake Corporate Center. After the 31,000-sq.-ft. project is completed, the company's workforce in that city will grow to over 500 associates.

CareCentrix is a leading benefits management firm focused on managing home-based care. Headquartered in East Hartford, Connecticut, it also operates care centers in Phoenix, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Kansas City, Kansas.

The company said it decided to expand its Tampa operations due to the area's experienced healthcare workforce, proximity to key customers, and the incentives provided by the state of Florida and Hillsborough County.

"Our benefit management services play an increasingly significant role in the delivery of quality, cost-effective home health care with improved outcomes," said CEO Eric Reimer. "As a result of CareCentrix's growth, the workforce at our Tampa location has increased over 40 percent in each of the past two years. The decision to expand our Tampa operations reflects a key component of our commitment to provide excellent customer service and care to our customers in the region."
