Area Development
KRAIBURG TPE, the Germany-based leading global manufacturer of Thermoplastic Elastomers, invested $15 million in its 70,000 square foot manufacturing complex and customer support center at Hamilton Mill Business Park, located the Metro Atlanta city of Buford, Georgia. The company expects to generate 20 jobs in the Gwinnett County.

“Today’s grand opening marks a milestone in our company’s history, and also reinforces our commitment as an international leader within the plastics industry”, says Jeff Frankish, Managing Director for KRAIBURG TPE. “Making this investment in the Atlanta area also reflects the confidence that we have in leveraging the workforce talent, economic infrastructure, and available resources within Gwinnett County.”

The facility was designed for three production lines and 75 personnel to start, with the capacity to double the square footage of its original size as needed. Long–term, the future expansion will include enough space for the addition of up to five more production lines.

Located off I-985, on Hamilton Mill Parkway, KRAIBURG TPE’s new facility will focus on the production of existing products lines for automotive, consumer and industrial applications.

“The expansion of KRAIBURG TPE is yet another example of companies choosing to grow and expand in Gwinnett due to the ideal business climate structured for success in an accelerating business environment”, stated Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash. “I thank KRAIBURG TPE for their commitment to our community”.

“Gwinnett County is a proven leader in the manufacturing sector and retaining quality firms such as KRAIBURG TPE is a testament to that” said Shantell R. Wilson, Senior Project Manager, Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management for Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett. “I look forward to working with KRAIBURG TPE on continued growth and success right here in Gwinnett”.
