Hunting, outdoor and sporting goods distributor Green Supply is expanding its warehouse distribution center in Vandalia, Missouri. The company plans to hire 31 associates.

According to the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the 50-year-old, family-owned company is constructing an additional 33,000 square feet of warehouse. The expansion will bring the company’s footprint to over 120,000 square feet. This is the company’s largest expansion since opening the doors of its first building in 1967.

“Innovation and great people are what’s driving this company forward,” said Green Supply owner William Green. “This is a family-owned company, in its third generation of operations, and this growth and our success would simply not be possible without innovative employees who are our neighbors and our tremendous dealer network.”

As part of its expansion project, the company is developing innovative warehouse automation to ensure faster shipping time to meet customers’ needs. This means electronic order processing, a new warehouse management system and 2,000 additional feet of conveyor through the facility. Six new loading docks are also improving the receiving department.

To assist Green Supply with its expansion in Vandalia, the Missouri Department of Economic Development offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and capital investment criteria.

“Missouri’s ideally situated for national distribution, so I’m thrilled to see Green Supply pairing these advantages with technological innovations in order to grow,” said Mike Downing, Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “This news means improved services for its customers and more jobs created in its community of Vandalia. It’s a win-win!”
