KmX Chemical Corporation will invest $2.075 million to expand its solvent reclamation facility in Accomack County, Virginia. KmX began development of specialty membranes for separation and recovery of valuable chemicals and water treatment in 2005, and will ramp up production and R&D on new membrane technologies.

KmX Chemical Corporation operates a solvent reclamation facility, serving the Greater Mid-Atlantic region, at its 13.5-acre operation in New Church, Virginia. At the core of KmX’s value proposition is its own proprietary membrane distillation technology. KmX’s MD platform is integrated with a full array of conventional filtration and separation technologies that provide a robust and flexible system to cost separate and reclaim valuable product.

Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Accomack County to secure the project for Virginia. Governor McAuliffe approved a $40,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Accomack with the project. The company is eligible to receive state benefits from the Virginia Enterprise Zone Program, administered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. Funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
