BSH Home Appliances Corp will add 100 jobs at its New Bern, North Carolina, facility over the next four years while the company establishes a new dishwasher line there, according to Gov. Bev Perdue. She said the project will provide a tremendous economic boost for Craven County (and surrounding counties) as about 80 percent of BSH employees live in that region.

Relatedly, a new customer service call center recently added at the facility will eventually employ 30 workers hired to assist BSH's North American customers.

CFO Stefan Koss said it's a "true honor" for the company to continue to support the county in which its factories have resided for 14 years. "We believe the future is very bright for BSH in New Bern, and we look forward to our continued expansion."

Opened in 1997, the plant makes stoves, dishwashers and other appliances under the Thermador and Bosch brands.
