R+L Carriers, a national LTL (less than truckload), global logistics and shipping company, will invest $7 million to expand its operations in Yemassee, South Carolina. The company plans to hire 25 additional associates in Hampton County.

The company plans to construct a new 50,000-square-foot distribution terminal on S.C. Highway 68. As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded a $100,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to Hampton County to assist with the costs of real property improvements.

“We look forward to growing our company in Hampton County, and we appreciate the support from our county council, SouthernCarolina Alliance and the S.C. Department of Commerce. We are pleased to be able to create new jobs and investment in our community as we continue to provide value and quality to our customers,” said R+L Carriers Vice President Jeff Haungs.
