Skype, the Internet phone service provider, is creating 350 jobs this year. Some of those jobs will be at its Palo Alto, California, office.

"Skype is growing its team globally, and this is very exciting news as we continue to ramp our innovation of new products across many different platforms for consumers and businesses," wrote Jennifer Caukin, director of PR for the Americas, in a company blog post.

Last summer, Skype signed a lease with Stanford University for a 90,000-square-foot office. It is seeking to add engineers to its work force.
