UnitedHealthcare is creating 125 jobs in Roanoke, Virginia, in the next two years. The company will invest several million dollars to expand its operations there.

"UnitedHealthcare's expansion in Roanoke reflects the commonwealth's and the city's commitment to fostering a positive economic environment for employers. The decision to enhance our operations in Roanoke reaffirms the dedication of our existing Roanoke employees in strengthening our business and serving our customers over the past several years," said UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement CEO Tom Paul.

The company will expand and upgrade its existing office in Roanoke, including a full renovation of employee workspace.

The Virginia Department of Business Assistance (VDBA) will provide funding and services to support the company's labor-related activities through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
