Hudson Mfg will soon expand its small arms manufacturing facility off NW HK Dodgen Loop in Temple, Texas. The company will install more than $2 million in automated machining equipment and add 10 associates.

“We could not find a single reference book on start-up manufacturing,” Cy Hudson, CEO of Hudson Mgf said. “Plenty exist for software and passive income, but American manufacturing is its own challenge. Temple has proven to be the perfect place for Hudson’s manufacturing work to establish itself and grow. We’ve been very successful in attracting and hiring qualified individuals seeking a career with an innovative and expanding company. We feel we made the right choice in bringing Hudson Mfg to Temple.”

“Hudson’s growth in Temple as an advanced manufacturer that offers excellent wages is a great thing for our workforce,” David Blackburn, Temple Economic Development Corporation President said. “The equipment and manufacturing processes that Hudson use are already being taught to our future workforce in high school through Career and Technical Education. Temple EDC is proud to support existing companies that create opportunity with expansions and build a higher quality workforce.”

Temple EDC Board of Directors approved an economic development agreement that includes a cash grant at their November 2017 Board Meeting as an incentive.
