Area Development
NS Aviation, an aircraft maintenance and repair provider, has selected Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as the site of a new facility. The startup company will invest $1.27 million and create 308 jobs. The One North Carolina Fund is supporting the investment with a $300,000 grant.

"This area is blessed with tremendous aviation experience and we will be proud to show off home-grown talent," said Russ Kota, NS vice president of maintenance.

The company will locate in the city's Smith Reynolds airport. NS will occupy a space that formerly housed Pace Airlines, which vacated in 2009. NS is planning to hire many former Pace workers that are now unemployed.
