Red Bone Alley Foods, LLC, a company that provides fresh and innovative South Carolina regional cuisine is expanding its operations in Florence, South Carolina. The $3.5 million investment will establish sauce, marinade and spice production manufacturing operations, creating an expected 45 new jobs in Florence County.

The company’s new Florence County facility, a 15,000-square-foot building located at 198 NB Baroody Street in Florence, will focus on the production of sauces, marinades and spices. Previously, the company manufactured these products at facilities in Texas and California.

“We are more than excited to finally bring our production capabilities back home to South Carolina. After all, there’s just something special about the taste of home-made food,” said Red Bone Alley Owner Dale Barth.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $450,000 set aside grant to Florence County to assist with the cost of real property improvements related to the project.

“For Red Bone to start out as a restaurant in Florence and come back to South Carolina as a company doing business all around the country is a success story that we can all celebrate. Red Bone’s decision to expand and create 45 new jobs in its home state will make a real difference in Florence, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch this company continue to grow here for many years to come,” said Governor Nikki Haley.

I am pleased that Dale Barth’s commitment to local foods and the freshest ingredients will not only apply to the restaurant but with the expansion of their bottling operation. They are commended for their further investment in South Carolina’s agribusiness industry in all it represents for small farmers,” said Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers.
