A firm that designs and manufactures amplifiers, antennas and related components to improve communications for cell phones and cellular data devices, Wilson Electronics will expand its existing production facility in Washington County, Utah, with plans to add up to 150 additional employees during the next five years.

Wilson Electronics expects to add 75 to 150 new professional and production positions over the next 5 years. State economic development officials said Wilson Electronics invests heavily in training new, as well as existing, employees on its product line and manufacturing processes. The expansion is also expected to lead to an estimated capital investment of $2.7 million.

As part of a contract with Wilson Electronics, the GOED Board of Directors has approved a maximum cap tax credit of $266,312 in the form of a post-performance Economic Development Tax Increment Finance incentive, which is 15 percent of the net taxes Wilson Electronics will pay over the five-year life of the agreement. Each year as Wilson Electronics meets the criteria in its contract with the state, it will earn a portion of the tax credit incentive.
