MoneySense magazine has ranked its top Best Places to Live in Canada for 2011. The publication considered factors such as household income, job prospects, population growth, discretionary income, and even the number of new cars on the road in each of the 180 cities it considered.

Ottawa-Gatineau, Ontario, received the top ranking on the list. The rest of the top 10 cities were:
