Trane plans to call 92 laid-off employees back to work in Clarksville, Tennessee, according to The Leaf-Chronicle. The company, which produces commercial heating and air conditioning units, is the city's largest non-government employer.
"This recall is in response to an increase in orders for Clarksville products," wrote Trane Communications Manager Joan Pulley in a prepared statement.
After the employees return to work, the plant will have a total of 1,139 workers. The call-back marks the first sign of economic improvement in the area since the recession began. Trane still has 362 laid-off employees.
