Plastic Products Company Inc., a manufacturer of plastics and injection molding, selected a site at 199 Keowee Business Parkway in Seneca, South Carolina, for the company's newest facility. The $3.2 million investment is expected to create 68 new jobs in Oconee County.

A 100 percent employee-owned company headquartered in Lindstrom, Minnesota, its new Seneca facility will be the company's eighth location and its first in South Carolina. The company plans to begin operations as early as June of this year. PPC plans to start operations with a small team of existing employees before hiring new employees for permanent positions beginning next month.

"Along with current product shipping to South Carolina, the business friendly climate made Seneca an easy choice to grow our business. We appreciate the support given on behalf of the state of South Carolina and Oconee County,” a spokesperson for the Plastic Products Company said.

"We couldn't be more excited to welcome PPC to South Carolina. Their presence will bring great things to Seneca and the state of South Carolina as a whole - creating 68 new jobs and putting our citizens to work,” Governor Nikki Haley added. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project.
