Majestic Candies Company will make a $6 million investment in a Pensacola, Florida manufacturing facility, creating more than 100 new jobs at the site of the former H.T. Hackney Building at 2001 W. Government Street. "We are very pleased with the support that we have received from the Pensacola community and we look forward to being a part of the continuing success which is being achieved by the citizens of Pensacola," said Dom Perrotta, managing member of Majestic Candies Company.

Majestic Candies Company is a producer of confectionary products, primarily pralinesand other pecan-based candy products, initially targeting distribution in the four Southern regional markets.

"The company will further expand our manufacturing capabilities, which is vital to economic growth and job creation in our state."

While details of any tax incentives offered to the firm were not immediately available, Gov. Rick Scott and the state Economic Development Office noted they offer several loan and tax abatements to attract business that will create jobs. For example, Florida's Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund Program is designed to encourage the creation of high-skill jobs and encourage the growth of corporate headquarters and other targeted industries.
