SL Alabama, an auto part producer, will create 200 jobs and expand its Alexander City, Alabama facility by 75,000 square feet, the Alex City Outlook reports. The expansion will increase its administration and production capabilities by 35 percent. The plant currently employs 520 workers.

"I would like to thank Mayor Young and the Alexander City Council for their cooperation and support," SL Alabama President JS Kim said. "I would also like to thank Tallapoosa County, the state of Alabama, and Don McClellan and Sandra Fuller with the Lake Martin Area Economic Development Alliance. Without the support of all of these, the success of our company would certainly suffer."

The company will invest $3 million in the expansion and more than $20 million to add new machinery and equipment.
