Automotive supplier Valeo North America, Inc. will invest $25 million to expand its operations in Smyrna, Tennessee. The company expects to create 80 new jobs in Rutherford County.

As a technology company, Valeo proposes innovative products and systems that contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and to the development of intuitive driving. Valeo has 166 plants, 20 research centers, 38 development centers and 15 distribution platforms, and employs 100,900 people in 32 countries.

Valeo will be expanding its current facility in Smyrna, adding 130,000 square feet to provide space for new equipment. The company will increase volume of existing product offerings and also add new product lines. Manufacturing at this location will include front-end modules, active grill shutters, and in the future, HVAC products.
