Dell plans to invest $175 million to hire more than 4,000 sales people over the next three years, the Austin Statesman reports. The company is preparing to expand its business by selling combinations of computer hardware, software, and services.

"There is lots of change going on in the [computer] industry, and our customers are really looking for our advice on how to get the best return on their investment," said Donna Troy, Dell's vice president and general manager of solutions marketing and sales.

The new employees will receive in-depth technical training to be able to explain the company's emerging industry trends. It is also seeking salespeople with specific knowledge in target markets including healthcare and education.

Along with the $175 million, Dell will spend another $100 million to build solution centers around the globe for customers to receive training on its new technologies.

The expansion comes after three years of job cuts at Dell.
