Fizziology, a global audience insights firm for the entertainment, retail and travel industries, plans to expand its headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company plans to create up to 55 jobs by 2020.

The company will invest $555,030 into its operations, expanding its office at The Hatch, a coworking space located at 6161 Hillside Ave. in Indianapolis. The expansion will allow Fizziology to grow its headcount, supporting operational growth beyond the entertainment industry into other key verticals such as fashion, travel and sports.

According to state officials, the company plans to begin hiring for a vice president of finance, international accounts analysts, social media analysts and SaaS sales specialists next month. New positions are expected to offer average salaries more than 50 percent higher than the state’s average wage.

“Our decision to keep the Fizziology headquarters in Indianapolis has been instrumental in our success. Our employees enjoy the excitement and fast pace of working in an industry they love, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and living affordably,” said Jen Handley, co-chief executive officer & co-founder of Fizziology. “And we are surrounded by amazing local resources and partners, including KSM Location Advisors, BLASTmedia and Verge - that continue to help us get to the next level.”

"Fizziology had options when deciding where to expand their business," said Indiana Economic Development President Elaine Bedel. "As a state, we remain committed to strengthening the entrepreneurial and innovative environment, providing high-quality jobs for Hoosiers. Fizziology, named one of the best places to work in the country, has found success here and we will continue supporting innovators like them, taking Indiana to the next level."

As an incentive, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Fizziology up to $588,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. These incentives are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis supports the project in partnership with Develop Indy, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.

“It’s exciting to see a local business like Fizziology gain national recognition for their accomplishments in our city,” says Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. “Fizziology’s unique and dynamic culture is a testament to the thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indianapolis, as well as their dynamic leadership team. Congratulations to Fizziology, I look forward to your continued success!”
