General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, dedicated its new facility in Healdsburg, California, at 190 Foss Creek Circle.

This unit of General Dynamics manufactures of large, medium- and small-caliber direct and indirect-fire munitions, mortar weapons and systems, artillery projectiles, bomb bodies and Ball Powder Propellant. The company also manufactures precision metal components; provides explosive load, assemble and pack services for a variety of munitions, tactical missile and rocket programs; and designs and produces shaped charge.

The state-of-the-art center is designed to meet the rigorous standards of the Missile Defense Agency for a "clean room" production environment. It will house the company's manufacturing operations for advanced electro-mechanical actuation systems used in a variety of guided projectiles and missiles. General Dynamics supplies proportional control actuation systems to a number of defense contractors.

The General Dynamics Healdsburg Operations is a developer, manufacturer and integrator of electro-mechanical servo-control actuation systems for the U.S. armed forces and missile-defense industry. The Healdsburg operations produce some of the highest power-density actuators in the world for applications on land, sea and air.
