ProPharma Group, a provider of compliance services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors, is opening a new medical information contact center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

According to the Missouri Department of Economic Development, this company is new to the state and will be starting with a team of 10 employees, with plans to grow its employment to 36 over the next several years.

This Kansas-based international company provides medical information services, program management, project management, validation and compliance services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

Along with the launch of the company’s new customer solutions center, ProPharma Group’s $570,000 expansion will help the company establish a regional office to serve its clients in and around the St. Louis area. To accommodate its business needs, the company will lease 6,399 square feet of space in an existing business park located in the Riverport office community.

“The St. Louis metropolitan area has always been an important location because of the strong base of drug and device manufacturers.” said ProPharma Group President Jeff Hargroves. “Establishing this regional, fully-staffed office will allow us to better serve existing and new clients in the area.”

With its focus on enabling customers to improve operations and stay compliant in a challenging and changing regulatory environment, ProPharma Group’s new location in Missouri will allow for better access to its clientele and a talented workforce. Its new medical information contact center staff will primarily consist of pharmacists, nurses, and other medical professionals.

To assist ProPharma Group with its expansion, DED has offered a strategic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation criteria. The St. Louis Regional Chamber, the Missouri Partnership, and Realtor Jones Long LaSalle also assisted the company to make its expansion possible.

“The St. Louis region with its experienced workforce, strategic central location, and pro business environment is a perfect place for companies to grow and expand,” said Governor Jay Nixon. “I’m glad that my administration was able to support ProPharma Group’s growth as they create more good-paying jobs in Missouri.”

“The Regional Chamber was pleased to collaborate with the Missouri Partnership on this economic development recruitment,” said St. Louis Regional Chamber President/CEO Joe Reagan. “ProPharma Group offers great opportunities for companies in Health Sciences & Services and in Biosciences – two of our region’s key economic focus areas. Kim Plank and Jim Alexander of the Regional Chamber worked with our partners on this project over the past year.”
