International advertising firm Publicis will move its Texas office from Farmers Branch to Plano, according to the Dallas Business Journal. The company plans to add 55 new jobs with an average annual salary of $78,000 over the next two years. The Journal reports that Publicis will move into approximately 59,000 square feet of office space in an existing business center, bringing its 110 current employees to the new location. The city of Plano has offered the company an incentives package that includes $110,000 to offset costs associated with the move, and an additional $1,000 per job for all positions created by March 1, 2011; the jobs must remain in place until at least January 31, 2020 for the company to keep the grant money. The Journal says Publicis will move into the new space by next January.
