InnoWare Plastics will invest $9.7 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Thomaston, Georgia. The project will create 45 new jobs and retain 134 existing positions. The company, which manufactures plastic takeout containers for the restaurant industry, plans to add a new production line and expand logistics operations. "The officials from the State of  Georgia, Thomaston, and Upson County have demonstrated this is a business-friendly place that supports local employers and looks out for the interests of its local work force," says Nick Clementi, CEO of InnoWare. The local industrial development authority has received a state grant to assist in the construction of a rail spur to the InnoWare facility, which prevented closure of the plant.
