General Products Corporation, a manufacturer of machined and assembled engine and chassis components for the automotive industry, will relocate its headquarters and manufacturing operations to Angola, Indiana. Those operations are currently headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The company plans to invest more than $7.8 million for the project. General Products already has a 125,000-square-foot manufacturing center in Angola that employs more than 60 people, and another 61 jobs are expected by 2011 as a result of the relocation. Hiring is expected to begin later this summer. State and local incentives include up to $650,000 in state tax credits, $72,500 in training grants linked to job creation, and additional city tax credits.
