Area Development
The Netherlands-based Zuidberg North America, a provider of parts and technology to the North American agricultural and tractor equipment market, plans to establish its 10,000-square-foot U.S. distribution plant at Cedar Falls, Iowa, Industrial Park.

The facility will focus on sales, distribution and warehousing for the American customer base, along with Canada and Mexico. Frontlink out of Delhi, Ontario, will remain responsible for distribution of after-market products in the Canadian territory.

Zuidberg, the world-wide market leader in front three point hitches and front PTO technology for tractors, said the new facility will serve the rapidly changing market. Agricultural tractor and implement dealers will continue to be the key customer base, with the company offering more direct, better aligned, in-country support. The company will also offer in-country support directly from the manufacturer to both OEM and after-market.

Rudolf de Jong, President of Zuidberg North America Inc., said, “We strongly commit ourselves to the North American agricultural market…We are in closer contact with the North American customer base and we will be able to serve the specific requirements in this important area even better. We see that the popularity and the acceptance of front hitch and front PTO applications for mowing, snow removal and tillage has massively increased all over this territory.”

“The strength of Zuidberg is that we have an extensive delivery program of front hitches and front PTO’s for nearly every tractor in the market, that can be either brand new or 20 years old. Customers value the reliability of our products, and as well they benefit from consistent fuel saving, higher efficiency of the tractor and increased comfort,” he added.

De Jong said the company also expects a growing demand for its Transmissions product line from manufacturers of agricultural and construction machinery, both its shelf gearboxes and transmissions, as well as its custom made drive line solutions. “Our focus on custom design and complete in-house production of drive-line solutions in lower and mid-range volumes has proven to be very successful,” he added.
