Zhongding USA Cadillac, a manufacturer of rubber auto components and subsidiary of China-based Anhui Zhongding Sealing Parts Company, will expand its facility in Cadillac, Michigan. The company plans to hire 125 associates.

With support from the Michigan Strategic Fund, the manufacturer of rubber auto components plans to expand into the heavy truck and agriculture markets.

According to state officials, the project is expected to generate $4.3 million in total investment. Steve Arwood, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation said, “Zhongding USA’s expansion in Michigan rather than another state means well-paying jobs for Michigan residents and underscores the strength of the talent in the state’s automotive sector."

As an incentive, the project was awarded a $600,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. In addition, the city of Cadillac is considering supporting the project with a property tax abatement.
