A company that provides insurance, banking, investments, retirement products and advice to current and former members of the U.S. military and their families, USAA recently expanded its operations centers in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tampa, Florida and Plano, Texas.

According to company officials, USAA renovated its Colorado Springs campus to make room for more than 100 additional employees. The exact growth targets and the roles for which USAA will be hiring are still being finalized.

“Colorado Springs has been a great fit for USAA. It is a community that shares our passion for serving military families,” said Kent Fortune, USAA vice president and general manager of the Colorado Springs campus. “We want to hire more people with this passion to provide our members the service they need and deserve.”

USAA opened its Colorado Springs location in 1988 and employs approximately 1,800 people in the area.

In addition, USAA also announced expansion of its operations and service center in Tampa, Florida. The financial services provider is constructing its Crosstown II building near its most recent building, Crosstown I. The new facility will be capable of housing up to 1,000 additional employees when completed in early 2019. USAA opened its Commerce Park location in 1993 and Crosstown (Phase I) in 2015. Currently, USAA employs 3,600 in Tampa.

“Tampa has been a great market for us, and we are thrilled to be expanding our presence in the region,” said Yvette Segura, USAA Vice President and General Manager in Tampa. “Our growth here is part of our broader commitment to improve the products and services we offer our members and strengthen our reputation as a great place to work.”

In addition to Colorado Springs and Tampa, in Plano, Texas, the company is constructing a new 150,000 square foot office building adjacent to its existing location in Legacy business park. When complete in early 2019, the building will have room for up to 850 employees. USAA opened its offices in Plano in 2014 and Addison in 2011. USAA employs 850 in the area.
