MD Logistics, a provider of contract warehousing and distribution services, will expand its pharmaceutical distribution operations in Plainfield, Indiana, with a $1 million investment. The third-party logistics (3PL) provider will build and equip a 15,000-square-foot pharmaceutical-grade cold storage facility and create 75 new jobs over the next four years. The company already operates more than 750,000 square feet at three facilities in Plainfield. "With its location near the Indianapolis international airport and four interstate highways, Plainfield provided the ideal location to begin our business and remains a central location for distribution of pharmaceutical products to North America and the world," says Mark Sell, MD Logistics' principal and owner. The state has offered the company incentives including $335,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants contingent on job creation. Local governments will also provide property tax abatement and recruiting assistance.
