Hanwha Alabama, a manufacturer of plastic materials for auto components, flooring, and packaging, will expand its factory in Opelika, Alabama, with a $15 million investment. The Opelika-Auburn News reports that the company will add 42,000 square feet to its 78,000-square-foot facility and add 45 new jobs. The expansion is expected to be completed in early 2009. The South Korea-based company, a subsidiary of the Hanwha Group, was formerly known as Maxforma Plastics.
