Belletech, a manufacturer and supplier of parts to Honda Motors Corporation, will invest $4 million to construct a new 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Versailles, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. More than 100 new jobs will be created over the next four years. "As a just-in-time, sequenced supplier to Honda Indiana, it was imperative that we have a location within an hour drive of the Indiana plant," says Mark McIntyre, Belletech's vice president. "The favorable business climate, support from state and local governments, and our positive interaction with the community made Versailles, Indiana, the best choice for our new manufacturing operation." The state has offered the company up to $770,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $36,000 in training grants contingent on job creation, along with a $120,000 grant to offset infrastructure improvement costs. Local governments will provide a $630,000 grant as well as tax abatement.
