Rogers Corporation, a global manufacturer of tech-focused materials, is expanding in Chandler, Arizona. The company has purchased an additional facility along Chandler’s Price Corridor that is expected to create 90 new jobs.

The company plans to start upgrading the facilities and equipment immediately, to have the site ready for commercial production in 2019. Rogers Corporation currently employs about 500 people at its locations in Chandler. It's been operating in the city for over 50 years.

The new Chandler operation will produce components and systems for its Advanced Connectivity Solutions (ACS) business segment, which is projecting significant growth in key markets that include 5G and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.

"Having these components manufactured in Arizona further enhances the state's reputation as an innovation and technology hub," said Sandra Watson, President & CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. "Governor Ducey paved the way for 5G, making Arizona the first state in the country to do so. We congratulate Rogers Corporation on its continued growth and embrace the further development of this technology."

"This asset purchase is part of our strategic expansion in ACS to meet the expected demand growth in our Advanced Connectivity and Advanced Mobility markets," said Bruce Hoechner, Rogers Corporations President & CEO. "We considered various global locations for our ACS expansion, but the proximity of these assets to ACS' headquarters and existing ACS manufacturing operations, plus the continuing support of the city and state, drove our decision to select Chandler."

"After moving its headquarters to Arizona two years ago, Rogers Corporation continues to expand its manufacturing operations in our state to serve global markets," said Governor Doug Ducey. "Rogers Corporation's expansion showcases Arizona's booming economy and further demonstrates the opportunities for growth in our state."
