AeroWall Dynamics, a company that improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions for trucks, is investing $508,000 and creating 36 new jobs in Williamson County, Tennessee. The company is renovating a 15,000-square-foot office and lab space in the city of Cool Springs.

The company produces an attachment that is placed between the cab and trailer of tractor-trailers. Using GPS-enabled speed tracking and sensors, AeroWall Dynamics’ product improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions for trucks that spend the majority of their time traveling at highway speeds. The Franklin-based company plans to expand and sell its product to trucking companies across the U.S. AeroWall Dynamics has already made inroads with FedEx and other logistics and trucking companies.

“We’re excited to announce plans to expand our workforce in Williamson County,” AeroWall Dynamics CEO Gary Ferguson said. “AeroWall Dynamics has designed a first-to-market solution to improve the fuel efficiency, safety and emissions for tractor-trailers. Our new office should provide a base for AeroWall Dynamics to expand our product to customers across the country. I’d like to thank Launch Tennessee and TNECD for their support.”

“It is always exciting when Tennesseans use their know-how and unveil the latest technologies to solve problems,” Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “AeroWall Dynamics is doing that for one of Tennessee’s largest industries. More than 263,400 Tennesseans work in the transportation, logistics and distribution sector, with 12 percent job growth expected over the next decade. I want to congratulate AeroWall Dynamics on its expansion in Williamson County and look forward to their contribution to Team Tennessee.”
