Area Development
Prince Agri Products, Inc., a manufacturer of animal feed products, will construct a new corporate headquarters and manufacturing and warehousing facility in Quincy, Illinois, according to the Illinois governor's office. At least 41 new jobs will be created and 58 will be retained in the area, as the company consolidates two existing facilities nearby. "We've had a positive experience with the area's labor force and are confident in our ability to expand because of that work force," says Darryl Mayton, the company's vice president of manufacturing. "We are making a large investment in the people and community, and look forward to growing with Quincy." Company officials say they also chose the location due to its proximity to the Mississippi River. Prince Agri did not disclose financial details of the investment, but the state has offered the company an incentives package of at least $1.86 million.
