A global, technology-driven developer, producer and marketer of specialty materials, and the world's leading producer of nonwovens, Polymer Group, Inc. recently completed expansion of its Old Hickory, Tennessee, manufacturing facility.

PGI said its Old Hickory facility is one of the largest sites in the PGI family not only in physical size but in resin consumption and weekly sales. The plant sits on 68 acres and employs 433 people while producing materials – including the unique REEMAY and TYPAR brands – that serve more than 2,000 customers globally.

"Our Old Hickory facility is equipped with some of the industry's most-sought-after technology and hosts an innovation center designed to advance extrusion, fiber spinning, web forming and coating technologies," said Hackney. "The expansion streamlines the operations and helps reduce the carbon footprint and utility consumption.
