Pyrotek, a company that specializes in the development, manufacture and sale of high-temperature materials for industrial applications, will invest $5 million to begin operations at the company’s facility in Trenton, Tennessee.

The metals manufacturer is ramping up production to support existing and growing sales volume and will create 49 new jobs in Gibson County. Through this investment, Pyrotek is upgrading its existing 80,000 square foot Trenton facility, which had previously been idled since 2004. The plant will produce ceramic foam filters, clean aluminum used for beverage can applications, refinement of petrochemical applications and aircraft alloys.

“I want to thank Pyrotek for choosing to reinvest in Trenton and West Tennessee,” Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “Over 300,000 people are employed in manufacturing in our state. We are working to become the most aligned state in the nation when it comes to developing and maintaining an educated and well-trained workforce, which is why some of the most sophisticated manufacturing facilities in the world call Tennessee home. I appreciate the new jobs Pyrotek is creating for our communities and look forward to their continued success.”
