Six New Hampshire companies received job training matching grants totaling $72,242 that will improve the skills of 226 workers throughout the state.

"I am pleased to announce September’s round of critical grants to help prepare workers for good jobs at New Hampshire's growing businesses," Gov. Maggie Hassan said. "New Hampshire's Job Training Fund is an important resource that has helped train thousands of workers in new skills. By focusing on job training and higher education, we can continue developing a highly-skilled workforce that will attract innovative businesses, help existing ones grow and create good jobs that can support a strong middle class."

Firms participating in the incentive program are;

In Hollis, New Hampshire, a town west of Nashua, UltraSource Inc. received a grant of $27,427.57 to train 24 employees in a variety of programs, including; PHR training from Southern New Hampshire University; QC5000 Advanced Training for Vision System by Starrett Kinemetric; Process Certification and Detect Recognition by TJ Green; Microsoft SQL training; VM Software Training by Synergy Resources; Intro to AS9100 by SAE International; Lean Six Sigma training by Villanova University; and Saw Maintenance Training from ADT.

South of Concord, in the town of Bow, Amoskeag Beverages received a grant of $27,237 for training up to 175 employees in Customer Service Excellence by Snowden Associates.

South of Manchester, in the town Londonderry, Metal Works will use a Job Training Fund grant of $1,400 for four employees to receive internal auditor training from New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Project.

A grant of $3,487 was awarded to Summit Engineering LLC of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for Microdesk of Nashua to train up to seven employees in Autodesk Revit Structure.

Creare Inc. of Hanover, received a $2,851.50 grant for the American Society of Quality in Milwaukee to train up to six employees in AS9100C: Quality Management Systems, a requirement for aviation, space and defense organizations.

In the northern part of the state, New England Wire Technologies Corp. in Lisbon was awarded a grant of $9,838 for ten employees to receive Career Development Training from the University of New Hampshire.

The Job Training Fund has awarded $6,398,831.11 in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $9,031,832.61 for a total of $15,430,663.72 in new training for 19,230 New Hampshire workers, the Governor’s Office said.
