The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) says that manufacturers will actively support the efforts of President Barack Obama to revive the American economy, create and preserve American jobs, and strengthen America's competitiveness. "We pledge to work with the new administration to pursue competitive tax policies that create jobs and economic growth, establish trade policies that expand markets for U.S. production overseas, and enact energy policies that decrease costs and reduce our dependence on foreign sources," says John Engler, president and CEO of NAM.
