Luthai Textile CO., China’s largest high-grade dyed fabric producer and shirt manufacturer, is opening an office in New York City’s “Garment District” at 1450 Broadway, as the company expands its global business.

The firm said “the western markets, specifically the United States, as its main target…The move places the company in a position to service current clients, respond to new opportunities, and expand relationships with its US customer base. The company’s Sales and Marketing and Research and Development groups will open the office under the direction of General Manager Liu Zibin.”

Our US clients are an integral part of the Company’s success, and critical to our long term growth strategy. The New York office is an important part of our commitment to product development and service,” said Liu Zibin.

Current customers include notable brands: Brooks Brothers, Marks & Spencer, Olymp, PVH, Li & Fung and Macy’s. The company recently developed the Arrow SuperluxeTheStitchless Shirt, the first shirt engineered with fused seams and no stitches.

Luthai currently operates offices in ShanDong, Shanghai, Hong Kong and recently opened a design center in Milan. With 35 percent market share, company officials said the U.S. represents Luthai’s largest global market, making it a logical and strategic decision to open office in New York City.
