MilDef, a leading provider of highly customizable rugged mobile computers, network switches, special electronics and rugged displays for the military, acquired the rugged product lines of American Reliance in El Monte, California.

According to company officials, “with this acquisition, MilDef now offers US customers service and support on both the East and West coasts. For more than 30 years, AMREL's computer division has been a key player in the rugged computers market, providing COTS, modified COTS and customized rugged solutions to the defense, industrial and public safety sectors. MilDef will continue to provide service and support to AMREL's customers with its comprehensive range of rugged products.”
