Amerlux has relocated its corporate headquarters, manufacturing division and eastern distribution facilities from Fairfield, New Jersey to a brand-new 200,000 square foot facility at 178 Bauer Drive in Oakland, New Jersey.

A firm focusing on energy efficient interior and exterior lighting for the retail, supermarket, hospitality and commercial market segments, Amerlux will add 40 percent more personnel throughout the New Jersey facility, which will accommodate up to 250 employees operating on multiple shifts.

"We are proud to relocate into our new corporate headquarters and east coast manufacturing and distributing facility, which represents a significant investment to bolster our extensive supply capabilities and advance our industry leadership and manufacturing expertise," said Amerlux Chairman Frank P. Diassi. "As sales continue to grow by more than 20 percent during the past five years, this facility, along with our new planned facility in Pearland, Texas, demonstrate our commitment to delivering innovation in commercial lighting for industry professionals that rely on our support and a seamless supply chain of superior luminaires to generate substantial future growth."

"Our new home consolidates all materials, equipment and personnel that were previously housed across several sites in New Jersey, and provides the space and capabilities needed to accommodate our rapid growth," said Amerlux CEO/President Chuck Campagna. "As we advance our domestic and international channels for interior and exterior lighting, this facility underscores our commitment to high quality American manufacturing and benefits customers with quicker lead times, high quality products, additional production capabilities, and expanded technology development."

The facility features advancements in every department, including a wire-guidance system in the warehouse, new metal fabrication equipment, new testing labs, and automated custom powder coating operations. In addition, customer service has been reconfigured to dramatically improve efficiencies and support, and the engineering department is bolstered with engineers specializing in optics, software intelligence, electrical controls and operations, and thermal management.

According to the firm its short term plans include the construction of the Amerlux Theatre, which will feature a state-of-the-art product showroom and a top-flight classroom to host hands-on product training and continuing education courses. The new facility was purchased by Unicorn Real-Estate Investment LLC and leased by Amerlux.
