Tooling Tech Group, the largest provider of custom tooling in the United States, is opening its corporate headquarters in Macomb, Michigan. The new 70,000 square foot facility that will also house manufacturing operations.

The company builds custom tooling for various industries including thermoforming compression molding, blow molding, die casting, stamping, and secondary equipment for all; It Serves the automotive, appliance, lawn and garden, agricultural, aerospace, marine, and off-road vehicle industries, among others.

The company is investing $19.9 million in Macomb between this facility and its Majestic stamping die facility, which houses a new 2,750-ton progressive/transfer press. Tooling Tech Group said it expects to generate at least 35 jobs locally and a total of 100 new jobs over the next five years at its seven Michigan locations.

According to company officials, the opening of Tooling Tech Group’s new world headquarters will better enable the execution of the company’s strategic growth plans and allow TTG to be closer to some of its key automotive customers. The company provides tooling, molds, check-fixtures, gauges and automated solutions for manufacturing a variety of automotive components.

Tooling Tech Group employs approximately 600 people with half of those across its Michigan facilities. The company has a total of 12 locations across four states, including Fort Loramie, Ohio; Washington, Missouri; Statesboro, Georgia; as well as Temperance, Fenton, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. The current operations and personnel at these locations will be unaffected by this change.
